NFL Week 16 Picks

16 Dec

The season is winding down, with only two weeks to go in the regular season.  I also can’t complain about a great week at picking games.

For Week 16, the NFL has games on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Last Week:  14-2 (.875)

Overall:  151-72-1 (.674)

Titans vs. Jaguars (I looked back, and I haven’t picked Jacksonville once this season.  However, some trends are supposed to end, and this week, the Jaguars are the better team.)

Eagles vs. Redskins (Battle of the back-up quarterbacks.  But then again, Robert Griffin, III was the starter at the beginning of the year.)

Chargers vs. 49ers

Vikings vs. Dolphins

Ravens vs. Texans

Lions vs. Bears

Browns vs. Panthers (Fingers crossed I get to see a Manziel vs. Newton match-up [I’m going to this game], but at the same time Newton’s health is more important.  Plus, Carolina’s offense might be better with Derek Anderson.)

Falcons vs. Saints

Packers vs. Buccaneers (Calling this a mis-match, might be the understatement of the year.  Although if anybody knows how to defeat Aaron Rodgers, it is Lovie Smith.)

Chiefs vs. Steelers

Patriots vs. Jets

Giants vs. Rams

Bills vs. Raiders

Colts vs. Cowboys

Seahawks vs. Cardinals (This game doesn’t mean much.  Hate that Arizona has to go into this game with a third-string quarterback.)

Broncos vs. Bengals

Week 10 NFL Picks

6 Nov

Heading towards week 10 of the NFL season, you would swear based on the sports television that there is only one game this weekend (maybe two), that is being played.  That game is not even in the United States.

Anyways, the new mindset for many NFL teams is “we’re alright, we aren’t great, but we aren’t that bad.”  It has led to the belief that several teams will make the playoffs with records at .500 or below.

Last week: 7-6 (.538)

Overall:  89-44-1 (.664)

Browns vs. Bengals

Chiefs vs. Bills

Dolphins vs. Lions (I did not realize the Dolphins were 5-3.  That is all.)

Cowboys vs. Jaguars (If Brandon Weeden gets the start against this poor Jacksonville team, and loses, it might be nearing the end of his career.)

49ers vs. Saints (The Saints are strong at home.)

Titans vs. Ravens

Steelers vs. Jets

Falcons vs. Buccaneers (These two teams have a combined three wins.  Lovie Smith is rebuilding.  Mike Smith should start packing.)

Broncos vs. Raiders (If there is such a thing as a quiet 0-8, it is the Raiders.)

Rams vs. Cardinals

Giants vs. Seahawks

Bears vs. Packers

Panthers vs. Eagles (Mark Sanchez will struggle at some point filling in for Nick Foles, but he has too much he wants and needs to prove right now.)
