2015 Mock NFL Draft Version 4.0 – Winston Still Undoubtedly No. 1

2 Apr

Less than a month before the 2015 NFL Draft, and Jameis Winston continues to assert himself as the likely first overall pick in this year’s draft.

Marcus Mariota is bumped back up to No. 2, but I’m not sure if he will be picked by Tennessee.  This mock draft does not account for draft-day trades.

This is also the first draft that goes through all seven rounds.

2015 NFL Mock Draft 3.0 – Separation Between Winston and Mariota

5 Mar

After the season ended and in the first versions of the mock draft, it was a solid lock on picks one and two with QBs Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.

As the NFL Combine is complete, and team needs have become more clear, it no longer appears that the two top quarterbacks will go number one and two.

2015 NFL Mock Draft – Version 2

4 Feb

Truthfully, I had no intentions of doing another NFL Mock Draft this close to the first one, but sometimes things happen when you least expect it.

Not much change to this draft.  The top two picks remain the same, with QBs Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.

Once again, this mock draft goes through the first 96 picks.  The next one will likely come out after the NFL Combine.  With the next mock draft, there is also likely to be a couple teams with a few less draft picks, considering the various NFL controversies.

First 2015 NFL Mock Draft

21 Jan

With the NFL taking the week off before Super Bowl XLIX (the Pro Bowl does not count), it is time for the first Mock Draft of the season.

Believe it or not, all but two teams are looking ahead to the 2015 NFL Draft.  Even with that, New England and Seattle probably have one eye towards it too.

This mock draft is the first of several that will come out.  This first one covers the first 96 picks.  The only picks not definite are the last two, which depend on the outcome of the Super Bowl.  You can take a sneak peek at who I am picking for it too.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston is my number one pick, going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  While his off-the-field behavior is not as great as Oregon QB Marcus Mariota, Winston is better suited to being plugged into a pro-style offense.

Last Week:  23-6 (.793)

Overall:  86-12 (.878)

#5 Auburn vs. #20 Kansas State

#22 Clemson vs. #1 Florida State (The Seminoles should be able to weather any sort of storm that comes with QB Jameis Winston being suspended for the first half.)

#4 Oklahoma vs. West Virginia

#6 Texas A&M vs. SMU

Mississippi State vs. #8 LSU

Eastern Michigan vs. #11 Michigan State

Troy vs. #13 Georgia

Bowling Green vs. #19 Wisconsin

Virginia vs. #21 BYU

Miami (FL) vs. #24 Nebraska

Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech

Iowa vs. Pittsburgh

Maryland vs. Syracuse

Presbyterian vs. North Carolina State

Northern Illinois vs. Arkansas (The Razorbacks should win, but if there is a team that needs to be on upset alert, it is Arkansas.)
