2015 Mock NFL Draft Version 4.0 – Winston Still Undoubtedly No. 1

2 Apr

Less than a month before the 2015 NFL Draft, and Jameis Winston continues to assert himself as the likely first overall pick in this year’s draft.

Marcus Mariota is bumped back up to No. 2, but I’m not sure if he will be picked by Tennessee.  This mock draft does not account for draft-day trades.

The season is winding down, and it has become clear that at least one team with a losing record will likely make the playoffs.

Last Week: 11-5 (.688)

Overall: 137-70-1 (.657)

Cardinals vs. Rams

Steelers vs. Falcons

Redskins vs. Giants (Bad game #1)

Dolphins vs. Patriots

Raiders vs. Chiefs

Texans vs. Colts

Jaguars vs. Ravens

Bengals vs. Browns

Jets vs. Titans (Bad game #3)

Broncos vs. Chargers

Vikings vs. Lions

49ers vs. Seahawks

Cowboys vs. Eagles

Saints vs. Bears (Bad game #4)

But wait, there’s more…

It’s not worth making a post for one game, but there is one last regular season college football game.

Last Week: 9-5 (.643)

Overall: 289-83 (.777)

Navy vs. Army

NFL Week 17 Picks

28 Dec

It is the final week of the NFL regular season, and there are several key games to wrap up this 2013 season.

Last Week:  9-7 (.563)

Overall:  150-89-1 (.625)

Panthers vs. Falcons

Ravens vs. Bengals

Texans vs. Titans (Titans finish off the disaster that has been Houston’s season.)

Jaguars vs. Colts

Jets vs. Dolphins

Lions vs. Vikings

Redskins vs. Giants (Kirk Cousins won’t go winless in his stretch as starter.)

Browns vs. Steelers

Packers vs. Bears (Aaron Rodgers’ return sparks the Packers.)

Broncos vs. Raiders

Bills vs. Patriots

Buccaneers vs. Saints

49ers vs. Cardinals

Chiefs vs. Chargers (Chargers are hot, and the Chiefs are limping into the playoffs.)

Rams vs. Seahawks

Eagles vs. Cowboys (Romo or no Romo, Eagles win.)

NFL Week 7 Picks

17 Oct

Last Week:  10-5 (.667)

Overall:  61-31 (.663)

Seahawks vs. Cardinals (Seattle has to start playing better on the road.)

Buccaneers vs. Falcons

Bengals vs. Lions

Bills vs. Dolphins

Patriots vs. Jets

Cowboys vs. Eagles

Bears vs. Redskins (This is the week the Redskins start to turn things around.)

Rams vs. Panthers

Chargers vs. Jaguars

49ers vs. Titans

Browns vs. Packers

Texans vs. Chiefs

Ravens vs. Steelers

Broncos vs. Colts

Vikings vs. Giants (This is the week the Giants get a win.)

NFL Picks Week 6

10 Oct

So far, this NFL season has been made up of the great teams (like Denver and Seattle), and the terrible teams (like the Giants and Jaguars).  All the other teams are in the middle.

With a few exceptions, it is way too early to try and figure out what teams will be contending at the end.

Last Week:  10-4 (.714)

Overall:  51-26 (.662)

Giants vs. Bears

Bengals vs. Bills (Doug Marrone needs to have something drawn up on offense, since Buffalo has no quarterbacks.)

Lions vs. Browns (Things were looking up for the Browns, and then Brian Hoyer tore his ACL.)

Raiders vs. Chiefs

Panthers vs. Vikings

Steelers vs. Jets

Eagles vs. Buccaneers (Eagles catch a break on its opponent with QB Michael Vick being out.)

Packers vs. Ravens

Rams vs. Texans

Jaguars vs. Broncos (Could this be the biggest mismatch in NFL history?)

Titans vs. Seahawks

Saints vs. Patriots

Cardinals vs. 49ers

Redskins vs. Cowboys (As painful as it is to say, the Cowboys are pretty good.)

Colts vs. Chargers

NFL Picks Week 4

25 Sep

Last week was not a good one, ending the run the start the season.  However, with the first teams taking bye weeks, you can begin to tell which teams are pretenders, and which teams are contenders.

Last Week:  7-9 (.438)

Overall:  31-17 (.646)

49ers vs. Rams (49ers have to get back on track.)

Ravens vs. Bills

Bengals vs. Browns (Sorry, Brian Hoyer, these aren’t the Vikings.)

Bears vs. Lions

Giants vs. Chiefs (The Chiefs are good, the Giants are not.)

Steelers vs. Vikings

Cardinals vs. Buccaneers

Colts vs. Jaguars

Seahawks vs. Texans (Houston players should have some bad tastes in their mouths following last week’s loss.)

Jets vs. Titans

Eagles vs. Broncos

Redskins vs. Raiders

Cowboys vs. Chargers

Patriots vs. Falcons

Dolphins vs. Saints

NFL Week 3 Picks

19 Sep

Here are the picks for this week, as it is beginning to become apparent which teams will be competing for a Super Bowl, and which teams are competing for the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, which just might be South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney.

Last Week:  12-4 (.750)

Overall:  24-8 (.750)

At least it’s consistent.

Chiefs vs. Eagles (Philadelphia and Chip Kelly’s offense are for real.)

Packers vs. Bengals

Rams vs. Cowboys

Chargers vs. Titans

Browns vs. Vikings

Buccaneers vs. Patriots

Cardinals vs. Saints

Lions vs. Redskins

Giants vs. Panthers (By rule, one of these teams will no longer be winless, unless it ends in a tie.)

Texans vs. Ravens (Last year, this is a great game.  Still is a good game, but Houston is just a little better.)

Falcons vs. Dolphins

Bills vs. Jets

Colts vs. 49ers

Jaguars vs. Seahawks

Bears vs. Steelers

Raiders vs. Broncos (Might be closer than people think.  Oakland usually plays really well on Monday nights.)

NFL Week 2 Picks

12 Sep

All of the opening day nerves are over as Week 2 of the NFL season approaches.  This weekend’s schedule is highlighted by the battle between Peyton and Eli Manning in the late game on Sunday.

Last Week:  12-4 (.750)

Jets vs. Patriots

Rams vs. Falcons

Panthers vs. Bills (This could be an exciting battle between Carolina’s Cam Newton and Buffalo’s E.J. Manuel.)

Vikings vs. Bears

Redskins vs. Packers

Dolphins vs. Colts

Cowboys vs. Chiefs

Chargers vs. Eagles

Browns vs. Ravens

Titans vs. Texans

Lions vs. Cardinals

Saints vs. Buccaneers

Jaguars vs. Raiders (The best of the worst games of the week.)

Broncos vs. Giants (If there is one thing that can be predicted, a Manning will win.)

49ers vs. Seahawks

Steelers vs. Bengals (Could we be seeing the beginning of the end of this era of the Pittsburgh Steelers?)
